In 2017, the AOA will co-host three Regional Osteopathic Medical Education (ROME) conferences: ROME Rocky Mountain in February, ROME Southeast in June, and ROME New England in August. 

ROME New England

  • Aug. 17-20, 2017

  • Hyatt Regency, Cambridge, Massachusetts


CME will be offered over four days at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, which is located in the heart of the city's academic community, including Harvard University, MIT, Boston University and Boston College. "Cambridge's scene teems with eclectic energy. With nearly four centuries' worth of compounded history and the gorgeous Charles River to wake up to every day, each moment in the city is worthy of joy," according to the Cambridge Office for Tourism.

  • Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017: 2 – 6 p.m.

  • Friday, Aug. 18, 2017: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; Reception with the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) and conference exhibitors 6 - 7 p.m.

  • Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017: 8 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.

  • Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017: 7:30 a.m. – Noon

Program highlights include:

  • Investigate regional health care issues like the heroin epidemic and Lyme disease.

  • Dive into functional medicine and natural remedies; respond to what patients are hearing.

  • Experience OMT workshops led by the American Academy of Osteopathy and UNECOM faculty.
